The hydraulic excavator is an educational "do it yourself" STEAM toy that the child assembles independently from 130 pieces. The excavator uses neither batteries nor a motor – it works on the principle of hydraulics, with cylinders and tubes filled with ordinary water, through which the boom and the shovel move. This way the child learns the basics of hydraulic engineering in an interactive way and understands how real construction machines work.
